Most families keep their money in six places and their heads. A brokerage app for the funds, a bank app for the cash, a spreadsheet for the property, and nobody quite sure who the nominee on the old fixed deposit is.
Banyan puts all of it on one page: every asset and cash account the household owns, who owns it, what it is worth today, and what it pays out. Income is a schedule, not a number, so salary, rent and dividends roll forward into a projected year. Every balance is a dated reading, so net worth has a history from the second entry on.
The part most trackers skip is inheritance. Every holding names a nominee, and the Family page turns that into a plain answer: what each person leaves, to whom, and which holdings still have no one named.
Next.js on tRPC and Postgres, installable on a phone. One design system from desktop to mobile, and every figure on a record page is edited where it is read.
Banyan runs a real household today: our founder's. That's how we build every product, on our own money first.
